World War 2 just started, and you get to choose who to fight for. Axis, Allied or Soviets

Almost all foot soldiers in the wars on all sides were not necessarily believers of a cause but fighting for their native land, while existing firmy in their particular context. All were pawns of their country and subjected to the propaganda of their government. yes there were those who knew the full story and could make an informed choice, but they were the minority. In answer to you question, it would depend what country I lived in and what I knew to be truth in my particular historical context. If I lived in Great Britain, I would fight for the British Allies, or Russia for the Soviets, If I lived in Germany probably the Axis powers. This really is a true hypothetical question which is biased. Of course we would all say the Allies, we now in the future know they won, but if we truly lived at that time, I think the decision would be largely based upon our individual cultural context of that time.

Lets see, we've got the Germans who've spent ten or a dozen years wiping out their opposition and building claims to all of Europe and who have just attacked neutral countries.
We've got Russia under Stalin, who has spent eight or ten years destroying all opposition, killing them or shipping them off to Siberia.
And we've got almost everybody else, many of whom are being attacked by various members of the Axis.
This is really tough, but I'll go with the Allies.

I would fight for prophylaxis. Hygiene is always important.

In fact, I would try to convince them that wars only empoverish our souls. None of them deserve my attention, unless they were ready to find peaceful solutions.
