1. The ship needs to launch at a correct angle, so that the astronauts can see where they are going and which is the right direction.

2. They need to land at the correct angle or else the ship might crash or some equipment might break.

3. This has something to do with distance. The astronauts are able to caculate how far away are they from the moon and find out when they will arrive.

4. The computers perform the very complex math that the astronauts can't do in their heads.

5. This involves a lot of math. Think about.......

All these are related to maths.
1. You need to calculate the amount of thrust needed for launch, fuel consumption, speed, acceleration and a number of other factors.
2. Need to calculate the landing trajectory.
3. Need to calculate among others: the trajectory from the Earth to the Moon; the amount of fuel needed; the angle of entering Moon orbit; the height from which Apollo 13 will orbit the Moon.
4. Computers do everything by mathematical calculation. Processors and every other component is designed by engineers, which use complex mathematics to design these components. They need to calculate the processor power, the energy requirements, and lots of other parameters.
5. Aerodynamics needs maths to calculate behavior of the planes in flight, take off and landing, by taking into account parameters like wind speed, plane speed, weight of plane, wing span, composition and lots of others.

In fact, everything is related to maths.
