I was thinking about a book I loved as a child, but can't remember the title or the author. It's about a kid who will eat anything, as long as he doesn't have to eat peas. I believe the line that is repeated is "Please don't give me any peas!" or something like that. Anybody know what I'm talking about, or where I could find somebody who does? This is driving me crazy, and I really need to figure it out. Thanks.

There's a little book by Geoffrey Hayes called "Patrick Eats His Dinner" in which Patrick (a little bear) doesn't want to eat his peas, and calls them "little green balls of mushy poison." I don't know about the "Please don't give me any peas!" line, but I'll try to check tomorrow -- my daughters' school library has that book.

I'll add my findings later.

If you're willing to pay a small price, you can ask the guys at the website below to take a look for you. If they find it and you wish to purchase the book from them, they will discount the price of the book by how much you pay them to look for it.

Talk to your local Children's Librarian. They seem to always know.
