right now I just wish to leave everything in my life, to destroy any connection I have with anyone I've known and just start all over. I wish I could live as a nomad and go from city to city, with no care in my life. What's bad is that I'm 14 so I'm stuck in this dump for a couple years more.....why do I feel so strong about this?

This is what the movie the Matrix is about although a lot of Christians think it is about Christianity, it's not. It's about breaking free of the mind prison system that has been setup throughout the world. You want to break free because on some level you know that much of it is untrue and you don't want to live that way. All this structure of society and how everything is setup is actually quite unnatural although there are many people who will vehemently deny this. What do you think? It's really what everyone wants but by the time they grow up and start feeling like they need to have houses, jobs and families they seem to forget about it all - they just go back to sleep and ignore that little voice inside that says, "There must be something else". Don't forget. I encourage you to start reading as much philosophy about life and the nature of the human mind as you possibly can. Never stop asking questions. Good Luck.

Because you are 14 (a teenager). The thing to know here is that this is normal. Puberty does this to teens. If you are not sure what puberty is, get on the Internet and read all about it. Your body is preparing for adulthood and those feelings are quite normal. You want to rebel against everything and everyone to show that you can stand on your own. Find activities to fill up your free time, library, sports, theater.. and just know that you will get your "freedom" and the thing is - it's not all that it's cracked up to be but you'll be alright. Be strong!

I commend you for asking, the fact that you did proves that you will be ok through it all. It's good to seek things out rather than act out on things.

good luck

no sense of belongingness maybe? You're only 14, life has got so many to offer you yet. You wouldn't believe the kind of struggles i went trhough, i am homeless now, but i feel a lot of love and sense of belongingness within my family of three. Spontaneity is good, but you have to watch your back all the time, life is not that easy. Build your roots somewhere, where you feel like home, and start from there. You have a long way ahead of you, and you have a long way to value your precious life yet. Sooner or later you will have a career and start on a family, what do you think?=)

You are figuring out life is not always a bowl of cherries. Friends are few & far between. Money is king. You can't do what you want, etc, etc. My best advice is to continue with schooling. I know school probably sucks right now but college is a lot different & very rewarding. Have a goal & accomplish it & things will be ok. Stay focused. You got your whole life ahead of you, don't screw it up.

It's a natural feeling . Maybe that is the way to live? But its a luxury few of us can afford. Also we are insecure & prefer doing what others are doing. What you do need right now is a change. Change of activity, location, your habits. Try & do something different for a week. The mood does pass.

at some point in our life we have all feel the same way. it is oly because we are trying to create our own life, we are trying to figure out who we are , and so these feelings begin to get confusing and we just want to run away from everything, live in a world with no care. find a way to express yourself. Paint, write , sing, dance. Find a way to let these feeling out instead of letting them fester.

Because you are young and havent experienced life, you don't really know how hard it gets and you think that you can't take things. You've had a bad week/day/year/month... You know.

=[[ I hope someone answers, because I feel the exact same way. I am thirteen.

The only answer I have is that you are an adolescent and it is normal to feel this way. You are still emotionally immature.
