we broke up almost 6 months back cause of this but we still been in touch regularly n talk like we always used to, i love her and i know she does as well.. and i miss not being with her as a couple and hate it when other guys flirt with her and crap., and she reacts likewise if i do that... so wat is this?? where do i stand ????? am i running after a ghost of a relationship ??? wat do i do.... i love her too much to let go !! :(

one of two things: it could mean,
your girlfriend loves you but cannot stay in the relationship because her family will not accept you. OR
she doesn't love you anymore and doesn't want to hurt your feelings

It depends on how old she is. If she's still living at home she has to accept her family's opinion.
If she's not living at home she doesn't love you as much as she says she does....or she thinks you're not good for her.
Loving someone doesn't mean they're good for you.

It means that right now in her life she has to do what her family needs/wants her to do because they are in control and even though she has feelings for you/loves you...she can not date you at this time. You should really try and respect that. :)

that she want's to break up because of her family, so that means that if she leaves you for that reason she was never truly with you in the first place
