Why are so many people against gay/lesbian people? Why is it so bad for them to marry? What makes it morally wrong? Where in the bible does it say not to be gay? I just don't get why this is such an issue...I'm heterosexual but I can't see why we are treating gays as second class citizens...Can anyone explain why?

If I wasn't gay, I would love you forever. (Okay, I am assuming you are male, and I am kidding...) You are the type of person that LGBT are rooting for. I applaud you for posting this question.
There is nothing wrong with being gay. I guess there is some chapter in Leviticus that shuns LGBT and there is a splurge in Genesis that says a woman should not have sex with a woman and etc. I don't get why there is an issue, either. Well, actually I see where people are coming from. LGBT is a different idea entirely because it involves sex, and people don't like it when sex is discussed. Heterosexual or not, sex is a private, somewhat disclosed or suggestive topic that people don't generally discuss in daily conversation. (You know, you don't generally ask the guy at the supermarket how his sex life is surviving...) I guess I can understand where people are uncomfortable, but I myself cannot picture myself having sex with a man, where you cannot picture yourself having sex with the same gender. You had to come to terms with the fact that you were heterosexual at one point as well, I am assuming, unless you were dating since infancy (I guess there are all kinds of people in the world...). I simply don't see anything wrong with LGBT or my life, and I hate the idea of being a second-class citizen. But, this is my best explanation as of why.

Nothing is wrong with it. Gay people like myself are born gay. It is NOT an illness or a defect, nor did gay people invent AIDS. Homosexuality has existed since the beginning of time, but nobody really talked much about it until now. So there are some idiots who aren't comfortable with it and they want to shove us all back into the closets where they won't have to deal with us. They want us all to be heterosexuals like them and live as they are comfortable with! BUT, I am a lesbian and I am proud of it.
....And anyone who disrespects anyone here is REPORTED.

There is nothing "wrong" about being gay. It's not a choice you make like choosing to follow a religion or choosing to protest funerals of American soldiers because you think that by fighting for America somehow supports gay rights.
People choose religion or have it forced upon them.
Gay people are born gay as much as straights are born straight.
That is all there is to it.

Being gay is not a sin. Giving in to the temptation of having a sexual relationship with a person of the opposite sex is a sin in the same way that having sex with someone you are not married to is a sin. It was not God's intention when he created us. He gave Adam a wife with parts that were made to fit Adams parts for both procreation and pleasure. However, the Bible does say that it is an abomination for man to lay with man or with animals. Again, because this is not God's intent for mankind. I don't bash gays but look at them in the same way as I look at all people who sin....including myself. True Christians know that it is improper to judge others because none of us are free of sin. I don't think one sin is any greater than another. We can hate the sin itself but not the person who is committing that sin. They too are God's children.

There is nothing wrong with being Gay, and in fact, there is a tremendous amount of stuff that is really "right" about it...especially if you are Gay. chill, stop with all the worry and enjoy life. It would seem that the only people who worry about Gay are Straights ... not gays. Funny, I don't worry about Straights in any way, shape, or form....it is their life and their loss...not mine. Geing gay is the perfect life form...not everyone can be perfect. Sad but true

Nothing is wrong with it! We are just plain old people who really live pretty quiet lives as a rule! We are often well educated people who work in high paying jobs! Many people would never know if a person they were associating with are gay!

People ridicule and despise what they fear in themselves. The bible doesn't talk about homosexuals because that word or concept did not exist before 1869. Men who loved men did not become something to revile until the 19th century. The bible doesn't condemn people for what they are the only thing condemned in the bible are specific acts.

I'm not gay but I think it's because something that was considered so bad is now out in the open. Being gay is something that is in the persons brain from birth. So discriminating against them is like discriminating against someone with down syndrome or tourettes.
I don't get it either.

I don't know why people are homophobic. I have nothing against your beliefs. I don't know why it would be such a bad idea for two people of the same sex to marry. You should have your own rights. Next thing you know, people will be getting arrested for tying shoes...It's mediocre. You guys are people too...It's not right, that's all I know...People are just azz wipes...It's not a disease, it's who they are...
