I always read that it meant you were worried about losing your looks. Whenever I had that kind of dream I was either sick and looking not so good or I was pregnant and felt gross...so it always seemed like the right interpretation for my dreams at least!

I understand what you're saying - I have the same dream on occassion and it's actually a very common dream for people to have.
Teeth can represent power (we bite, tear and chew with our teeth). The loss of teeth in your dream could represent a sense of powerlessness - are you lacking power in some current situation?
In the latest research, it has been shown that women in menopause have frequent dreams about teeth. This may be related to getting older and/or feeling unattractive and less feminine. I don't know how old you are, but this could apply to you if you're experiencing menopause.
Teeth falling out could also symbolize you making a fool of yourself in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety.
One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you.
Hope that helps!

I had this dream around the time of grade 8 high-school. I dreamt all my front teeth had fallen out and I had to go to school like that. I ran to the bathroom as soon as I woke up because it was so real. It was not until I looked in the mirror, that I could see all my teeth were still there. Looking back now I think it is a sense of helplessness, insecurity.
Most of all fear of rejection..
The only way to counteract your subconscious is to really work on liking who you are as a person and not fearing change, but welcoming it as a growing process no matter how difficult it is at the time. What does not kill you, only makes you stronger in the end..

I've had the dream too and I hate this one!
I wish I had an easy answer, but what has seemed most accurate to me is that I need to pay attention to the structures that nurture/nourish me. When I'm spitting out teeth, it's normally because I'm taking someone for granted.
But always ask yourself what your dream symbols mean to you because that is going to be your most accurate interpretation.
Live well

I actually have this same dream. There are two differant meanings. The first one is that you are self conscious of your looks and are worried about how people perceive you. You dont find this one a lot but i think the next one is more true. It means that you speak before you think and often get yourself in a bit of a pickle because it has come out wrong!

i use to have the same dream! i'd be talking to someone and my teeth would be falling out, they'd be alarmed about it and i was indifferent. i think teeth have a lot to do with self;image, so maybe teeth falling out in dreams means a loss of self;image or self;esteem.

Wow... look at all the different answers. I have that dream quite regularely. And I still haven't figured out what it means. But you know what? YOU have the answer. Dreams are the doors to our subconscience. For you it has a meaning, that for me might be different. Good luck, I'm sure you will figure out.

This dream represents a reluctance to accept changes that are coming up. Sometimes could mean that you are afraid of "losing face" in some area of your life. Dreams are personal and depend upon your own interpretation - but this is the basic and general understanding.

It seems like I've heard that people dream about their teeth falling out when there's something in their life that they feel like they can't control.

i have heard that this sort of dreams means that you are stuck in a rut and are feeling powerless about it.
i used to have similar dreams - where i would be chewing gum, and i couldnt spit it all out no matter how much i tried. eventually, my teeth would start to fall out because of the gum pulling them out. i used to get this dream over and over, and let me tell you, i didnt use too much gum from then on!!
once i got a new job, i stopped having the dreams, so the interpretation of stuck in a rut and powerless seems to have been pretty accurate for me.

It means it's time to see a counselor. Seriously. You are upset about something and it's manifesting itself into this creepy dream. Do not be afraid to seek help. You'll be better off in the long run.
Best wishes!
