I have an almost 13 year old who has bugging me to allow her to create a myspace account. Out of concern for her safety, I have refused. I have reason to believe that she did it anyway. How can I find out?

Go on myspace and go to search
http://search.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=find&MyToken=8613a9c2-7646-40c9-bd0e-362527253d63

Then enter her name and email adress to see if she is on there

U might can be able to fined out by checking the internet explorer history or the cookies (that’s if she is using the same computer and she hasn't made a privet account)….for that and other reasons its better to keep the history button hidden, and make sure that she cant get access to clearing up the history ..

try googling her name and state with quotation marks around it. For example, if her name was jane doe from californiar type "jane doe" california . It is usually more effective than searching on myspace

Go to

www.myspace.com

select people and type in her name.

Odds are she will have used her real name.

Do not let her know if you find it, just monitor it from time to time to keep tabs on her.

You might offer to help her set up an account now to see how she reacts.

Trust your gut. If you think she did, she probably did. Just tell her she's busted and don't let her near the computer alone.
