Check with your insurance company first to see which hospitals are covered. Then talk to your OB to find out which hospitals he/she is willing to work from.

Ask yourself what kind of experience you want to have: do you prefer a safe labor & delivery room, or would you rather go the birthing center route? Do you want to have a water birth, go natural, get an epidural, etc.?

Think through what you want, then shop around to see what will best fit your needs. Keep in mind that if at any time your pregnancy becomes high-risk, you will almost certainly have to deliver in a hospital with a NICU.

My friend had one at Chandler which was a tough decision since her mom died there a 1 1/2 ago. they did a great job. Memorial is supossed to be better but the room at chandler was nice. Get a tour and see if you like Chandler better

If you come here for Hospital advice I don't think you should be having a child. I admit in the south the health care is awful based on Jama and AMA studies but someone has to come out healthy.
