I just had my son two months ago and started my pills on Sunday (its Tuesday). How long before my husband and I can have sex without worring about getting pregnant?

It really takes 30 days to be effective. I would use an alternative form of birth control in the mean time. If you want immediate protection, consider the Depo Provera shot. One of the side effects (which I think is AWESOME) is that you may not get a period. Downside is most people gain weight. Luckily, I have not. One itty bitty shot every 90 days and no worries or periods. However, it can take up to 18 months to reverse itself, so if you are thinking of more children, may not be the best option. Good luck! :o)

you may get pregnant on the instant and it is completely secure. there are a number of females who've grow to be pregnant on a similar time as taking beginning administration pills and there is unquestionably no data that it has brought about any problems with the subsequent babies. This became genuine even 20 years in the past whilst the quantities of estrogen have been lots bigger. So, toss the pills and seem for some nookie this evening.

Technically never, there's always a small chance that you can become pregnant.....but at least 1 cycle of the pills to get you to that minute chance.
