Stand-up comics, TV show hosts, Talk Show hosts, they all get their material from exactly the same place.... The realities of the world we live in! The tell jokes, and they are funny, because we know what they are talking about because we've seen it in the news, or had something similar happen to us, or etc.... It isn't hypocritical, it's reality. As bad as it is, people are going to joke about sports teams complete ineptitude, celebrities drug and alcohol problems, and all the other sad events that take place every day. It's OK to laugh at certain things though, because therputic, and it helps us heal!

Jokes? how can you talk about jokes in a time like this. This losing streak is humiliating for their fans, city, organization and god knows when it will stop.
