Not me. It could possibly affect and offend someone if you over ask "why". Other than that why should it?

it doesnt offend me at all not even a little bit. in my own point of view, asking a questions like "why" denotes that the asker needs either further clarifications/explanations or he asks "why" because he needs a reason of somethings, places or persons that he is curiuos of. . The word why is an interrogative adverb for what reason or purpose. It can also make or agree to a suggestion. Theres no harm in asking why...
So, why do u ask? hehehehe :-)

Some people become annoyed when another asks "why" too often. It's a test of their patience. Think of a kid asking a parent a "why...?" question for five minutes straight. It gets old.
I don't think it offends anyone, unless it's accompanied by a very ignorant or offensive question, like, "Why are Muslims so violent?" (which obviously isn't true).
