My DVD/CD ROM Will Not read any CD's. Will A CD Drive Cleaner work to fix this??

I personally have had bad experiences with the automated cd drive cleaners. they typically make the problem better for a very short time or do nothing at all. I even had one that made the drive fail completely. Also the drive has to be able to read the cd for it to go through the cleaning process.

If your pretty good with you hands, the best method is to take the drive apart and clean the lens and the rubber on the disc seat, with a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol.

those things are garbage. they tend to put wear and scratch the lens and are not recommended. they may help for a bit but then you have to use it again and thats where the wear and tear comes in. you can to get it professionally cleaned but it is a bit costly and can probably buy a new one a lot cheaper.
