why is it that cocaine seems to be the drug of choice amongst celebrities and rockstars???

it seems that that is VERY popular in the holywood lifestyle. why do you think this is as apposed to other drugs??


and what other drugs would you associate with celebrity lifestyle??

it's an expensive drug....expensive to keep your high lasting. the effects of the drug goes down very fast...so you have to keep spending more to keep the high up
it's associated with the rich and famous. i mean its kind of like a drug of prestige...in some ways. it's a party drug
you're successful....big money to spend....like to party.....that's drug they use.
poor people also use it...but they will soon learn that it is a rich man's drug.

other drugs...i would say ecstasy for the ones that like to party...also weed for the ones that just like to relax. antidepressants are also common amongst celebes...viciodin, xanex, loratabs...etc

I think the reason why cocaine is so popular in Hollywood is because the attributes of it are to keep people going and going and going, like energizer bunnies. The stars are busy people, busy schedules, long hours shooting movies, plus guest appearances, award shows, all that stuff. Crack and Meth, the two other drugs that have the same effect are less "rich" sounding. I also think marijuana is prevailant to bring some down after being "up" for so long, to help them relax.

The word "cocaine" sounds more socially acceptable than the word "crack". (Not that I think so personally, but by Hollywood standards).

When you say "crack" you think of some scabby, toothless, strung-out junkie, and I doubt many celebrities would want to be thought of that way.

I would also associate prescription drugs with the celebrity lifestyle.
