If the US pulls out there will be mass chaos and continued warfare within the country. If the US stays there will still be warfare and chaos, but there is hope that with a continued steady presence the fighting will cease and democracy will ensue.

All the Countries in the Area of the Middle East have good reason to stop fueling this War in Iraq, but they won't do so as long as the United States is getting our brains bashed out by agents from all those same powers.
Bush went to war in Iraq without the support of our European Allies, and without the American people truly understanding what America was getting into. A Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld dream has turned into a nightmare for America.
It is now a vital interest of the United States to get out of Iraq, and it is a vital interest to reestablishes our fair and successful Foreign Polices under the former White House occupants.

Amazing once again the questioner says what if the US pulls out of Iraq, obviously coming from the UK we are not involved.
Let me tell you we are very much involved and if we had a leader who was not so up your Presidents **** we would not have been there. Now we are there we will probably stay till the end when ever that may be.Just after the invasion was over the British military were in charge in the south of Iraq and we had no big problams but after a few weeks of heavy handed tactics around Bagdad the unrest spread to Basra.

There are two things needed to win in Iraq. First, the USA should be dumping boat loads of money into the Iraqi economy which would be used to build infrastructure. That is to say, we build schools, movie theatres, soccer stadiums, etc. This raises the people's standard of living and suddenly they do not want to blow themselves up because they want to see the new James Bond movie or the is a soccer game on Saturday night.
Second, the country really needs a great leader. A Founding Father of sorts. In the words of George; they need a uniter, not a divider. Mohandas Ghandi is a wonderful example of the type of leader I am referring to. Someone whom the people (regardless of color, religion, ideology, creed, etc) can unanimously love and can identify with so that they can put aside their differences, learn to live peacefully and establish a common national identity and respect for one another.
Military intervention will only take us so far. It may help secure the borders, which is necessary given the current accusations against Iran, however that is about 1/10 of what is needed to truely win the "war". The rest lies in the two points mentioned above.
The USA can help, but ideally it would be through investing capital instead of bombs and bullets. It is in our interest to help these people from an economic and political standpoint. Whether you believe in helping people for the people's sake is up to you.

it will end the same way Vietnam ended. We pulled out they settled the differences and the country has been at peace ever since. You can not declare war on terror with no country to fight, nor can you give someone democracy that has not got to the point that they are willing to fight for it and sad as it is to say the area has always been Muslim and contrary to what the bush administration says or does it will always remain so, the only thing we are there for is to make sure the oil does not get away from us, we are now saying that Iran supplied the weapons to use against us, but if you care to check our past you will see that the weapons used against the countrymen of Saddam by him were provided by the USA so our troops need to come home we are in a no win situation

If the US pulls out before they restore enough of the infrastructure that they destroyed, there will be little for the Iraqi people to build from, besides the continuance of fighting. They need to at least be able to restore enough of the factories and businesses for the population to resume some sense of stability.
The Iraqi soldiers that the Americans have trained must continue training and protecting their civilians. Many of our soldiers have complained that as soon as they leave, the Iraqi soldiers return to their homes to fight with the Sunnis or their Shiite brothers. There isn't enough stability among their own troops for us to leave them to their own resources.
Third, the Iraqi government must step up to the plate to help conform to the democracy they say they want. There is so much disarray among their own government, that too remains unstable.
No matter when we pull out of Iraq, there will remain the need for some American forces to remain behind to help preserve what progress they can. It's what they have done with every other country the have invested in.

If we pull out soon Iraq can avoid getting pregnant. JK. If we pull out soon we can avoid adding any more to the confirmed 650 thousand Innocent Iraqi's we have killed so far. We are only there to maintain stability in the Middle East so we can keep the oil flowing. That is why Bush had to lie to get us there.

I guess we would have to ask ourselves, How important is foreign oil to the USA? If the USA pulls out of Iraq, there will be total destruction by everyone wanting control of that region in the Middle East. The Taliban, the Iranians, and all other factions will be free to try to take control of the region. Meanwhile, here in the USA, people will be loosing jobs due to not being able to make it to work, for the gas prices,,,, and we all know that The owners of Exxon will make it to work, and fire the employees for not being able to afford the gas prices. I think another depression would be the result of pulling out of Iraq. Just a personal opinion from years of observing how American business does business.

If we pull out there will be mass genocide. However, the U.N. will call it ethnic cleansing. In this manner, not only will the U.N. get angry with the U.S. But the rest of the world will hate us for pulling out. Even though they all wanted us to pull out in the first place.
Once we go back in to fight the rest of the world will scream bloody murder over the fact that we went in to try to fix things. Once again, it is a lose lose situation my friend.
Not to mention the fact that Iran will attempt to take over at the same time causing more violence and blood shed.
Israel will probably start fighting Iran because of their moves. And the U.S. will have to get involved with it regardless.
LET ME PUT IT EASY FOR EVERYONE.
WE PULL OUT.
WE GET TO GO BACK WITHIN A FEW MONTHS.
SO PULLING OUT DOES NOTHING.
