Anyone know if it's ok to take bubble baths during pregnancy. I'm in my last month of pregnancy (actually I'm already past my due date) and it's getting so difficult to be able to take showers. Would it be ok to take bubble baths? What bubble bath would be ok to add to the bath water?

Yes, it is perfectly fine to take a bubble bath with any bubble bath. Actually a nice deep hot bath can help bring labor on.

Actually, I was told by my doctor not to get a bath when I was pregnant. When I was 1 week overdue though, he said a bath would be good because it helps stimulate your body. And I've been told since I was a little girl bubble baths are actually not good for females. Apparently the bubbles do not agree with the acids in our vaginas. It can lead to urinary tract problems and has also been linked to ear canal problems, . Hope that helps! And congrats!

Yes, as long as your water hasn't broken, any bubble bath or other bath product you would normally use is fine.

If your water breaks (not everyon'es does in early labor), you are susceptible to infection...no sex, no baths, call your doctor because the countdown has begun.

They can increase your chance of getting a bladder infection. Also make sure the water is not too hot when you take baths.
