The Law of Segregation just means that alleles separate and go into different gametes. So parent Bb makes gametes B and b.

The Law of Independent Assortment says that the way one pair of alleles separates does not influence how another pair separates. (This doesn't turn out to be true for linked genes - genes found on the same chromosome.) So parent AaBb can make gametes AB, Ab, aB, ab. The way the Aa separate does not affect the way the Bb separate. The uppercase A can go into a gamete with B or with b. The lowercase a can go into a gamete with B or with b.
