35 yr black male, I'm trying to visit all four in one 8 day trip, looking for a dirt cheap airfare and great hotel with dirt cheap price. I want to go dancing to some funk/disco/hip hop/reggae and neo-soul/r&b, meet a beautiful woman, go record shopping for old school funk, see the sites and meet great people to return to. What the best time to come and what big events would I like?? I love accents, so i would adore meeting a great woman within europe, can I get some advice on clubs and everything else????

Airfare has gone up in price and is based on season, availability, flight city, etc. Flying into one city and out of another is always more expensive.

Dirt cheap airfare? Best of luck on that as I think the way prices are going now for 2007 and on you aren't going to find what you want. 4 countries in 8 days! That to sounds to me that you are over-exerting yourself on trying to do all in such a short time.

Great Hotel...........Dirt Cheap price, I'm sorry but those two words never belong in a sentence. More like "ok hotel.......dirt cheap price", if you are lucky.

As for the rest, I'm sorry but I'm unable to help you on that. I can say though that some of those genres of music you are going to have a tough time finding in certain parts of Europe.

Good Luck to you, sounds as if you may need it for what you are asking for.

Well let's see...first off I don't recommend trying to do all of that in 8 days. It would be like a suicide mission to me, but if you have to then try it.

If you want dirt cheap hotels, don't stay in hotels. Stay in youth hostels (don't let the "youth" part scare you, there are people of all ages in hostels). They are everywhere in the big cities like London, Edinburgh, Dublin. I've never been to Amsterdam before but with all the young tourists they get they more than likely will have a bunch to choose from. Look up the hostels online and book them before you go, especially if it's during high tourist season (spring and summer) or else you might be stuck sleepin on a bench. And don't believe people when they say hostels are dirty and dangerous. I stayed in them every night of a 2 week trip around London and Scotland and I LOVED every one of them.

As for cheap airfare, check out bargain airlines like ryanair or bmi. If you had more time to spend though I would recommend doing the long treks (like from England to Scotland) on a bus because it's the cheapest form of transportation. But it's also the slowest so if you only have 8 days it wouldn't be good.

Dance clubs are everywhere. I never went to any when I was in London and Scotland but the best way to find out anything about a city is to ask the locals. They know where all the best things are. And if you're looking to meet a beautiful woman, why not ask where a great club is from a beautiful local woman. You never know, she might just come with you to the club!

Big events happen all the time in the UK and Europe. In Edinburgh, Scotland there is a long festival season that brings in about a million people each year from the end of August to the beginning of September. If you like reggae you might enjoy the Notting Hill Carnival at the end of August in England. It's a celebration of the local Afro-Caribbean culture with DJs, floats, steel bands, and lots of food. And you can't get any bigger than St Patrick's Day in Dublin.

I hope that answers some of your questions, have a wonderful time no matter what you do!

You'll have to be a bit more specific about the Ireland and Scotland part. Where do you want to go there? I'm assuming you want to go to Dublin on the Ireland side. Check out http://www.gate1travel.com/europe-travel/ for some good deals
And, of course, Travelocity always has great Europe deals, especially on airfare. This link goes right to the Europe section of the site, http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-2049238-10397376
