You all know hoe Netflix works. You set up a lits of movies you want to see and they send them to you in the mail. You keep 3 of them for as lonk as you like and send it back, and get the next one.

Well who thinks there should be an online LIBRARY like that? I go to the local library, and they NEVER have the books I want. If there was an online library like netflix, you could just order a book, read it, and mail it back. What other ideas do you all have, I might make this someday.

There are several libraries as you describe. But the only one I know that fits this description charges a monthly or annual membership fee.
But many public libraries allow you to download both novels and nonfiction. Check with a library in your city or county.

If you just want to see one of the types of libraries I mention, you could get a free look at this website. They let you look at a new book every month free, just to see what their service is like: questia.com . It is the world's largest online library, with access to thousands of books for students and scholars...but not necessarily for entertainment or current fiction.

If your local library doesn't have a book you want, ask them to inter-library loan it for you. Libraries ususally belong to a local consortia, and they will lend each other's books to each other's patrons, usually at no cost. You can return the book to the library you checked it out from.

Project Gutenberg and other services offer ebooks, most college/university libraries do as well. My local public library, which is very small, in a very small town, offers ebooks free to its patrons.

I also spend time in thrift stores, used book stores and garage sales. Books there can be as little as 25 cents. I buy them if they look even remotely interesting and take them home. At that price, if they stink, I just donate them back. I have about four shelves of unread books at any given time -- plenty to choose from depending on my mood. If I read something I love, I buy a nice new hardcover copy to read again later and loan out.

I think a Netflix idea for books is a good one, but since librarires are free, it will probably never fly.

Cheers.

I actually have a ds and that i love it!! that is transportable, and also you'll play it in the darkish (no longer like the unique gameboy!). there's an effective recreation decision, and the needs to link up with a pal in the adventure that they have got one too is fairly cool. i do not fairly understand a lot about the different stuff, seventh gen and all. i have not heard some thing about a sparkling nintento transportable, the most suitable time they basically rereleased the DS, yet i have not cought wind of them doing some thing like that again each and every time quickly.
