I don't think it's that important. Why not celebrate your love all year round instead of one day? Why not leave little gifts for each other every once and a while instead a lot of little gifts in one day? Everyone may have their own opinion, it's all in how you look at it.

No it should not have to be an important holiday. All it is is a commercial holiday anyway just to give the chocolate, flower, and card companies more money. If you love each other you shouldnt need to give each other valentine's day gifts.
Of course it is always fun to give your signifigant other gift so if you want to why not? lol

It's not important to my fiance and me. I'm much more interested in saving up for our wedding and acknowledging our love throughout the year than getting cheesy Valentine's Day gifts that I can only use once a year (or that I'll get sick of).

No. It's important to people who are new to the dating scene. I have been maried for a few years, and it's not that serious. Girls seem to get worked up over it, but I think it is only because as women, we try to one-up each other. Everyone wants to get flowers at WORK right? Bragging rights. Go ahead admit it. I did it too!

Some people feel that it's a "forced" day.
