For starters, you can't keep one pet bee, you'd have to keep the hive. And where are you going to keep a stack in the city?

I know someone that lives on a 1/16th of an acre lot and has bee boxes. He says the door to the boxes is above another lots' garage door and the bees don't bother anyone. On another note, getting more people into bee keeping may be a plus, as it will diversify/increase the chances of more bees surviving the mysterious disease that seems to be killing a lot of bees recently. -A Oh, and my uncle in Australia just got a small hive box about the size of a basketball, and it contains very small bees that could fit inside one of these upper case o 's I'm writing with; just another idea.

Bee's are a country animal, not a city animal. Although, it would be nice to have some pet bee's that stung people on command. Piss me and I'll sick my bees on you. The bad thing is that they don't come back when you call. Bees pretty much have a big route they cover, so they are most definitely a country animal and they are not pets anywhere.

Some people are severely allergic to bee stings, so, no, they wouldn't make good pets in the city.

Bees are not good pets no matter where you live. The are not PETS!!! They are insects and their job is to make honey. You can not train them, they are not cute or cuddly.
