I've heard of toothpaste. Make sure to rinse the ring really well afterwards. Or, wear the diamonds in a sink full of Dawn dish soap. That also helps them shine. If you have the time, take them to a local jewelry store (stay while they do this) and ask them to clean them for you. Like Weisfield's, etc. Take care.

Believe it or not~TOOTHPASTE!! Use a little dab of toothpaste on a soft toothbrush, wet brush & diamonds, brush diamonds gently and rinse with cool water. You will be amazed at how nice and shiny the diamonds plus their settings are. I have also used this on sapphires with the same results so I imagine it would work on any gem.

i used to sell jewelry, i would never use an ultra sonic cleaner.
they shake the stones and can loosen them.
windex works the best.
put some in a small dish. lay the jewelry in it for a few minutes, then use a SOFT toothbrush to scrub it clean.
rinse well with water.

I was told by a lady that worked in a jewelry store that they used 1 part of Mr. Clean to 3 parts water. Let it soak overningt, then rinse. I've tried it and it works very well.

Ammonia. Alot of ppl use a toothbrush and toothpaste but I would be afraid of the toothbrush loosing the prongs to the diamonds. I buy my solution at Walmarts and have for years. They have one for diamonds; one for silver...and ecetra........

a little bit of ammonia, a little bit of dishwashing soap, soak for a few minutes and wash thoroughly with a toothbrush under running water. I do this all the time and they shine beautifully, do not use this on pearls the ammonia dissolves them.
