MacArthur was a big time American hero. JFK was certainly heroic when his PT boat sank, but nowhere nearly on a level with MacArthur.

Well, JFK was never a general. But even if he had been I know MacArthur would beat him by a mile. You have to look at the situation of WWII and look at the achievements, actions and out come of such a massive campaign. MacArthur by a mile.....maybe two.

if this is a question ask what the hell did J,F,K, do for this country except be a p. t. boat officer in WW2 and he was credited with saving another man, he dragged him out of the water, then he sent federal troops to Alabama to enforce integration which has destroyed this country and weakened in 30 years to what America took 200 years to build, and also violated our constitution and opened the way for the federal Gov, to interfere with every aspect of our lives unconstitutionally, oh yeah, he also backed down from Russian premiere Krusheafe and let him have nuclear missiles at Cuba, was that in Americas interest??
Gen, MacArthur was a real hero, but,our children will never know since all white hero's are removed from our history books thanks to Kennedy ,

Macarthur because of his victories and his impressive scores at West Point. Didn't ever miss a question on any test.
JFK's legacy is his affairs, his assassination, and his hottie son who died in a plane crash.

Ummmmm, boy, that's a good question. They were both great in their own right. Of course, they should be separated because MacArthur was military and Kennedy was president.

My vote would go to George Patton. and all you laid down their lives for the country. JFK is an unknown quantity because his life was cut short and the general was too wrapped up in his own little world.

Like all history until the people of the times are gone the judgment won't be set. Until genuine facts are studied will true history be written.
