Guantanamo Bay!?

i'm so confused on whta is happening! In 2002, why is the u.s using guantanamo bay to hold th prisionors? And just because you look like a terrorist you have to be taken for inspection? Or what? i'm so confued on whyand how they get chosen for this. when can they get out of uit? I already read many articles, but am so confused!

Aren`t we all. ? The Americans captured a lot of foreign fighters, who were fighting on the side of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and took them to America for questioning. Strictly speaking these men were prisoners of war, but did not seem to be treated as such. Since that time they have `arrested` other terrorist suspects and taken them there. ( including Britons). With regard to any information about these prisoners, America has been very " backwards in coming forward" and refuses to tell the world what is going on, about treatment, release dates etc. If it were Russia or some other Eastern or third world state, behaving in this way, America would be screaming out about `Human Rights`. One rule for them and another for everyone else. These prisoners may well be terrorists and deserve to be in prison, but after all this time America should have found this out and dealt with it in the proper manner. If the outside world is not kept informed about such issues, then they are bound to suspect that America is being less than honest in the way she has been dealing with the whole business.
