I was on the pill for 6 months. However, my prescription ran out and I was unable to book an appointment with my doctor until the next 5 days. Thus, I was late by 5 days of taking my pill on track. On the ovulation calendars online it said that I was medium fertile on Sunday, which is the morning I had intercourse on. with no other protection. I am VERY worried, would the hormones from my old pill pack still be in my system? Or do I have a very good chance of being pregnant right now? Should I stop taking my pill pack now to see if my period comes? Or was I not taking it long enough? Help.. please... I can't sleep at night worrying about this.

Birth control pills usually stay in your system 2 weeks after taking them. This does not mean that the pill is still working though. Your best bet is to go to the ob and take a blood test. That way even if you are 1 day pregnant, you would know and not risk hurting the baby. In all reality, if you continued to take the pill for like, 3 days till you can get into the doctor, the baby would be unharmed. But get that blood test. You will have the results in 1 hour from the lab! Good luck.

I would say that if you are concerned then get tested, but there is a possibility that you are and there is also a good possibility that you would not be. For some, the effects of the pill can linger for up to 3 months after getting off of it -- but that's nothing to count on because other people get pregnant even while ON the pill. So I wouldn't go crazy worrying about it, but if you are concerned than contact a plan B supplier within 5 days of intercourse and get tested.

I was in the same perdicument as you my doctor told me that when a person gets off of or misses there birth control that there is still possible that birth control is still in your body so you probably dont have anything to worry about. It is best that you see your obgyn and talk to him or her about your situation. The longer you wait the worse it can be or get if you did get pregnant that day. It is bad for the baby that you are taking birth control since the first three months are the most importent but if you are not then you need to take your birth control if you dont want kids. Well Good Luck

You may very well be pregnant. You can miss 1 day's pill and get pregnant. Wait about a week and take the HPT.

feels like this is unquestionably a threat you may want to correctly be because you've been taking antibiotics (they artwork antagonistic to the birth control) and in case you stopped taking the birth control altogether on the end of December, then this is unquestionably a threat. you may want to attend some more effective days, if you're not to any extent further getting your era on time and keep having indications i might want to pass to the well being care specialist and get a blood try or purchase a being pregnant try and examine out it and be conscious what the outcomes are.
