Or is there a seperate Heaven for them? If we found out we'd be going to Hell, and we could clone ourselves, we could send our clone to Hell. Sound good? (pause) I thought so!

Aren't they already there?
I thought that Heaven was the name of a spaceship that visited ages ago, that the Captain was called God, the First Officer was called Peter and the varying Angels, each with their own (oddly military) areas of expertise, were what we would call astronauts.

Perhaps my interpretation of ALL of our Planets historical documents is wrong?
It's just that the Biblical accounts of those who went to Heaven and then returned in the Angels' chariots, mentioned that the world slowly passed under them as they looked on through windows .....
Like it would if you were in ORBIT!
Perhaps Piri Reiss just dreamed up the charts, that are identical to modern satellite photos taken from orbit, about 500 years before the Wright brothers were born?
Perhaps it really was an immaculate conception followed by a vision, instead of an artificial insemination followed by a briefing as the anaesthetic wore off?
Perhaps the light that guided the wise men really was a star, even though it never moved and was visible during the day?
Perhaps I might be going to hell then?!
What is this question doing here?!

Of course, being a matter of faith, this question should be in a different category, but here's my $0.02's worth....

Firstly, I believe that our souls are so unlike our bodies that to "see" their true form would be pretty strange - I doubt they even look the way we do in life. There are various references in the Bible telling about how things are different in the afterlife, e.g. there is no marriage there. (I assume that's because there's no such thing as male and female)

Secondly, God's dealing with any otherworldly beings is something that we can only speculate about, even accepting the existence of God and extraterrestrials as a given. One may draw a parallel from some examples in the Old Testament where we know that God had one set of rules for one group of people (the Israelites) and we don't really know what they were for others. We don't know what God told them to do, but God used the Israelites to punish the peoples of the land of Canaan because they were wicked. Obviously, they'd disobeyed God.

My favorite example is the story of Balaam and the talking donkey. (Numbers 22) Balaam was a prophet of God, who had dealings with the Moabites (and most likely others). God obviously had channels to other peoples, but we don't know what they were commanded because it was irrelevant to the theme of the Bible.

So, in the end, I believe that they would go to the same heaven, but we'd probably find that we're all the same in the next life. You can't compare that life to this because nobody knows what it's going to be like.

(p.s. I'm an agnostic, so all this is assuming there is a God.)

in all risk. no person has ever got here lower back from heaven to let us know what its like. For all all of us understand, heaven would desire to be something and would have something in it. I dont understand if that is going to likely be the comparable heaven, yet i'm valuable you would be waiting to have beer with an alien, although he's alcohol would probably seem freakish.

All religions are bound to earth and only earth. Without earth, religion will not be born. Mankind created religions when they thought that there is a greater being who created the universe. So if there are aliens out there, their religion will not be the same as ours. If the aliens came to our world and convert to our religion they would go to heaven/hell when they die, otherwise the answer is No.

Your question is a metaphysical or religious question, rather than a scientific one, and it does not belong in the astronomy and space section.

Besides, it is not a question that can be answered. Nobody knows. And how do we know any of us is going to heaven, as you assume. It could just be an ancient myth that has no meaning in the modern world. How would that be?

It's a good thing to hope for, but there is no way to know.

How do you know that there is a heaven of hell?

I mean maybe there is no other world when you die...
or maybe we all just become ghosts or angels...

or what if we just see wht we believe? like we would go to heaven if we believe tht there is heaven...or if we believe in Atheism..it may just be a dark sleep for us....

Or maybe there are no such things as aliens either....

Uncannily enough, Geoff's ideas are EXACTLY the same as mine ! I don't believe there's a mystical 'Heaven' for us or any other races of beings that exist in the universe.

If you believe in one God (monoteism), then you must believe that;
- There is only one true God.
- The Universe was made by God.
- The Heaven was made by God
- Then all God creation must go to the same Heaven & Hell.
