Then don't read them.

Sorry you feel that way. I'll answer this and try to keep it short. Some answers NEED to be long. I think you are looking at this the wrong way - from YOUR point of view only (can't blame you for that). But think of the person who has asked the question; a lot of the times the ASKER needs it especially if it's a technical question.
I will agree with you though that some ppl just go on and on to try to get their answers chosen as a Best Answer - that my love, irritates the CRAP out of me. But truly for the most part, the long answers are meritted.
Hope this isn't' too long for you to read.

Yes, long questions are a no no. To your other question regarding Christmas: 1. Christmas isn't a Christian holiday - it was originally a pagan holiday celebrated by the Celts 2. Jesus wasn't born on Christmas, nor in December. Historically, Jesus was actually born around late October-early November. 3. Christmas is not really a religious holiday...it is more of an American tradition.

I agree with religious, but other may be scientific or even political. Sometimes you shortchange yourself by not reading those that at least make sense! America seems to want everything in 30 second sound bites! That is really unfortunate and that is why much of America lacks cognitive development! They can't even think anything through!
No, I don't hate to read them if they make some since as I have actually learned a lot on here! Still working on tolerance!

Twinkle twinkle little Star, we all agree, answering is just hard. Reading is worse than any, unless tickling your fancy, then the nerves are excited to imanage in-between each word to the same degree your just bothered in a good way.

Yeah... I just kinda skip over the long ones. From now on, I'm gonna put 'short&sweet' as a requirement in my questions :-)

Some questions can't easily be answered. If you don't want the asnwers don't ask the questions. People give their ideas and opinions cause you asked for them. If you especially dislike the religion section, why are you reading it?

Agreed. some ppl use answers as a forum to express thier point of view even when that's not called for. answers should be short and to the point. my mom always gives me real long answers to any questions I ask her and it really sux so I don't ask her many questions anymore. besides shes really stupid and doesn't know creed from tool. my geography teacher is just as bad. if you ask him where england is, he gives this big long lecture about someone called King John. once I ask my brother, who I have a crush on, what time it was and he told me the difference between greenich time and zulu time, and I don't know what he was talking about. I felt like saying shut up and take your clothes off. sometimes on Dr. Phil he goes on and on about petty things like skipping school and smoking pot. (I never ever ask my dad any questions because once he starts talking he won't shut his mouth. he always thinks he has to teach me things but I know more than him already. I saw a epasode of the little house on the prairie where that idiot guy constantly scolds his girls for riduculous things like being late for breakfeast. I hate things like that. I hate breakfeast anyway. it mite be better to never ask any questions because you mite get stuck having to listren to a sermon or some crap like that. I don't like to bother ppl and I don't like it when ppl ask me questions when they know I don't know the answer. that makes me really bad. taechers are good for that. plus I hate cops. when I have to ask a question I get so scared that there gonna go on and on forever because they think I need to know the whole history and theories of simple questions.

So...Short attention span, huh? You want life to be a series of sound bites, eh?
Reading someone else's ideas and opinions often gives you a new perspective and opens your mind.
OIh...uh...I better stop here, huh?

That's normal. Little by little, we've lost the ability to read between lines; we live in a rush. Now, what's worse?

I definitely agree. I'd prefer a one-sentence answer that is straight to the point.
