How do all the big companys like bauer, ccm, mission and easton embroider/ print the players name on the cuff for a player in the NHL? Is there a way I can do this myself with a regular old sewing machine?

This question is for riders_fan2007's answer. How do sew your name into the fabric? Do you use regular thread and needle or a sewing machine?

PROBABLY UNLESS YOU UNDO THE STITCHES TO TAKE THE CUFF OFF AND LAY IT FLAT

OTHERWISE YOU WOULD HAVE TO BUY A EMBROIDERING MACHING THAT CAN HOLD THE GLOVE

The big companies actually know who they have signed and what their needs will be. So when Lindros was Mr. Bauer they knew what size and pattern he liked. They stitched his name in the equipment while it was being made. All Pro players equipment is semi-handmade. Most scrub equipment is mass produced. You can pay a little extra and get custom equipment but it will cost you. You can customize your own equipment but as stated before you will have to cut seams and stitch it in yourself. It would be wise to take it to a cobbler or shoe repair if you dont have someone near you to hand sew hockey pads. Then take the piece to someone that can do it and have it re-stitched back in.

Find a piece of material and sew your name into it. Then once your name is embroidered into the piece of material, sew it onto the glove. That worked when I was little, my mother did that to my hockey gloves.
