I never really thought about this... There's a lot of hype about the possibility of Harry Potter dying, but I haven't thought much about it in the Inheritance books.
I think there is a distinct possibility of Eragon doing something in the vein of "moving into the West" - Paolini seems heavily influenced by Tolkien and Le Guin (among others) and their characters might technically "live" but they move on. Then again, he could defeat Gallbatorix and then 'rule' to fix all the problems in the empire. But I'm not sure Eragon will just outright die.

its possible. but if he dies in the movie i'd be happy. not to be mean, but ed speleers, guy who played eragon, sucked. eragon is like the last harry potter book. everyone is asking "will harry die?" alex pettyfer could have played a better eragon.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! How could you even think it? I wish and then don't that he would die. It would cause me heartbreak, but it would make a wonderful ending. If he died, I would cry. If Eragon was a real person, I swear I'd marry him.

IDK but somtimes authors somtimes like to kill their characters so other authors cant right sequals off of their books. I hope the third one is longggg though, I love those books with a passion. The movie wasnt great though.
