I was fortunate enough to see Brian Wilson and his 19 piece ensemble play Smile In It's entirety at The Sydney Opera House .
This concert was heavenly .

Prince, long time ago... after the show was over, we were talking (waiting for everyone to leave, for the traffic to let up) -- and HE CAME BACK OUT WITH HIS BAND!!! There were about 300 fans still there, of 15,000... and we all got to go down on the floor and he just jammed for another HOUR, full hour of dancing, sweating and he was laughing and having a great time, right besides us. (He was fined the next day by the county -- because they judged it a heath and security risk - because the Nassau Coliseum's workers left, mostly -- and they wanted to shut the lights, etc. BUT they didn't, we didn't care. AWESOME!

Def Leppard! I was 15 or 16. Our seats were in the back some where but when we went to sit down they had speakers there instead so they told us to go to the box office. went to the box office and they gave us 10th row. We went to 10th row and other people were sitting at our seats. the Usher told us to find a seat any where. We were 5th row and they played in the round. They were the best ever. I have seen lots of concerts since and they are still my favorite.

I've been fortunate to see many concerts I thought were great. My Favorite would have been Deep Purple in 1984. I've seen Kiss a couple of times, what a spectacular show they put on!!

I went to a Chaka Khan concert about 10 years ago. Her "people" came up to us and invited us back into her dressing room (why they did that I still have NO IDEA). We hung out with them that entire evening and into the wee hours of the morning. Like we were OLD Friends!... It was odd. And a total blast. I wonder if she does that at all her shows...

Frank Zappa - 1984
Stevie Ray Vaughan - 1983

My common theme here ... I embrace all the performers I have seen in concert I no longer can.
