Am I the only one that thinks the best man for the job would be none other than Colin Powell?
He is an excellent example of true character and integrity in government for many years.

And that integrity and character is what will keep him out of office. America is not ready for a man of that caliber. Colin Powell will not sell out to the special interest groups.

I agree with you he would be an extremely good man on the job, but remember, the system is so corrupt that he would not stand a chance to do what he wants. Someone one or a group would send him to an early grave.

He does not want it and, in any case, he is too tainted by the Bush administration. Powell made the wrong choice in ‘being a good soldier’. He should have put loyalty to country above loyalty to the President. He was right when he told Bush ‘if you break it, you own it’, regarding Iraq. The problem is that most Americans did not know or understand that. Powell had the position and respect to make them understand, but he did not. As a result, we cannot even comprehend the damage Bush has done to the nation.

No he's not. I am not against new patterns of president, that is a black or female president, in fact I would LOVE to see Hillary Clinton or Braca Obama in the office!

But Powell just doesn't cut it. Please remind me what he was? That's right, an advisor in the cabinet. The better candidates I feel, Hillary Clinton and Braca Obama have very inspired backgrounds along with educational success far beyound Powell. Powell just doesn't seem to have a good grasp on leading our government, like a president we know of today. I think if Powell was president, he'd be like Carter, nothing would get done. This is vital, we need a president to get things done and done quick. We have no time. We need more allies in the world, or else you'll see the United States on a very sharp decline.

Colin Powell is a war renowned character, not a political figure.

Vote Clinton for President, 2008!

It would have been better had he not stood up and lied for the Bush Admin in his address to the UN before the invasion.
Powel committed a grave error when he confused being a good soldier with his duty to his Constitution and the American people.
I am not too sure about him.

No, your not the only one. I'd love to see him run and he would with out question receive my vote and the votes of many others I'm sure. Sadly he has made it very clear that he has no intention of running. I think there were to many death threats against him when he was thinking about running the first time.

Colin Poweell would make a great president. I wish he would run. He would certainly have better direction for the US than Bush currently has for the US.

He lied to the American people and to the UN about the WMDs.

But then again, he did leave the evil Bush Cult and later said that that was the lowest point of his career.

My voting for him would depend on how his stands on Israel and America's SERIOUS Zionist problem.
