For sure. There are art directors on set that are actually paid to say "No, she should be eating an Orange, not an apple. The orange reflects the mood better then eating an apple". There are people looking at every frame to make sure the visual projects the writing".

The writing is also art. Is expression, and the base of all art is expresion.

yes movies are just a different form of art, any thing that takes creativity, and not eveyrone understands, could probably be categorized with the term "ART". would you consider a comercial art? probably not, but next time you watch one, look at it really look at it, and then you will realize, it is! :]
