Because their are barely any Portuguese people. If they allowed abortions there wouldn't be a Portugal the Spanish would just move in a take over.

Lets make this easy...Portugal is NOT America...and yeah, you're right. Liberals have always condoned murdering the unborn. I do not believe in that AT ALL.

Under current law, the procedure is allowed in cases of rape, fetal malformation or if a mother's health is in danger, and only in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
so yes they are still "killing babies" if thats what you want to call it.
personally i like this law.i believe a womens right to choose is her choice to have sex, but there must always be that gray area like this.

Maybe the portugeese still have a workable moral compass. Liberals believe moral compasses are evil because they were espoused by those judeo-christian bigots. "If it feels good, do it" works for the "enlightened" in this country. The sixties weren't very kind to the "enlightened" in this country.
expat, its funny, liberals like kerry keep saying stuff like "we need a more international consitution... we need to look towards the europeans for guidance, after all they are the enlightened ones...."

This is such a loaded topic. You have a right to your ideas and should never get an abortion. On the other hand, if you aren't the one who's pregnant why do you get a say?
