No that's known as stealing and you can get a major fine for that. To get wireless internet you just need a wireless router which cost $50. But I do NOT recommend the network adapter unless that's your only option because that can cause major lag especially during storms and rain...just go with an ethernet cord if you can.

like they said ud lag # 1 and u dont have 2 have wireless, if ur close enough hook it directly wit the eathernet cable or should u get the adapter, ull have 2 have a router, and thatll hook 2 ur dsl or whateva type service u have and send the wireless internet signal 2 ur sh*t its simple and worth it, but if u havent got a router yet, MAKE SURE U DONT GET SUM CHEAP JUNK ESPECIALLY NOT JUST A "G" ull need either a+g or N (which is the newest and yet 2 b the best can even stream high def from ur puter 2 ur box) all in all a good router good isp is what u need!!! iight lata! hope that helps a lil...

You're assuming that you'd be able to get any sort of connection from your neighbors, and that your neighbors have wifi routers set up in the first place, and that their network would not be secure.

Even if you did make a connection to someone else, it would be far too slow to play games on.

So you're better off buying your own router and wifi adapter, or wiring up a network so you don't need the wifi adapter in the first place.
