Yes, and there's a free version, I think it's called home Basic, that you can install IF you have Windows XP. You can also download the other ones to your computer for a price online from Microsoft, such as Ultimate Vista.

You can download the software illegally from peer to peer services. However, please buy the software because....it saves time, it helps the economy, etc. But that's your choice.

You can download the software legally from MSDN which may be available if you are studying engineering at a college.

Also, there are tentative plans for Microsoft to release a downloadable version of Vista for the public in the near future.
