You don't! ( That is unless you asking to create a compressed file that will autoexpand? )

A files with the extension .exe file is a an *executable*
or program file. To create one, you would need a compiler of sorts.

A compressed file is one that is compacted, or in some way reduced in size, and has extensions such as, .zip, .rar, .tar.gz, .bz2. You would use a decompression program to unpack these files.

You mean make a self-extracting compressible file? WinZip, PKZip or WinRAR should do the trick. I'd recommend one of the Zip's if you want to be Mac compatible. (Macs can unzip.)

However I'd suggest avoiding EXE files if you can. People tend to be afraid of them because they so often include viruses, trojans and spyware. I would never open one sent to me or that I got off the Web.

you need a program that can do so.

i suggest winrar, you can get at www.rarlabs.com it compresses the best.

you can also use winzip, although it costs money.

if you do not feel like downloading anything, use Iexpress, it comes with windowsXP. go to start, and select run.

then type iexpress. the bad thing about iexpress is that you cannot create folders. you can only compress multipul files.

goodluck =)
