"Financially" speaking, I would definitely go with Finance. You have a lot more opportunity to make money with finance.
For example, I am an investment banker. Accounting certainly helps, but being able to act as a financial analyst is what got me to the position I am in now. I cannot imagine that I would have ever made more money with an Accounting degree.
Accounting will get you accounting jobs whereas finance is a broader spectrum with greater business applications that pay much much better!
Best of luck!

With Accounting you will be working more with numbers than you will with people/companies or planning.
With Finance you will be able to focus more on the future, planning with people/companies about their money.
Accounting has a bad rep as "crunching numbers," whereas Finance can be a more fulfilling career. Both require gaining some momentum before any major cash flow comes in, and Finance might take a little longer to get a large income.
In the end, Finance has a higher fun factor, and unless you don't enjoy working with people, it would be the better choice over Accounting.

Since both typically get you to the same outcome when it comes toa job/career you should consider what your plans are after the degree. Thre are some companies that would like you to see you have a background in certain math or business courses. So decide which major has ancillary courses and electives that you think you are more comfortable with; or that you think your potential employer would find more valuable. At some schools they are so closely related you could probably find a way to make one a minor of the other by using your electives.

Do both.
I couldn't make up my mind and that's what I'm doing with International Public Relations and Marketing. Finance and Accounting are so similar that I don't think it would be too hard to double major.
