weapons program (N. Korea)?

It could totally ruin the Neo cons/AEI Iran invasion plans that they were hoping would make up for their Iraq disaster. If Bush can go 2 for 2 with stopping N. Korea/Iran nukes thru diplomacy he might actually save at least part of his legacy and the Neo cons would be finished. Might Bush actually be ignoring his neo con handlers & listening to anti neo con Gates?

Let's be clear here, it is not Bush's diplomacy that has gotten things moving in the right direction in North Korea, it is more likely the influence of Condi Rice trying to pull ANYTHING good out of her hat on the foreign policy scene. It is a 6 party international team, which includes Christopher Hill, Chief US negotiator. Re: Iran, on the other hand, diplomacy has not been an option and probably will not be an option, as it seems quite clear that they are bound and determined to attack Iran. All the rhetoric is about building up the dangers of Iran and the need to attack - I believe they have been baiting Iran and hoping Iran will attack first, so they can say they are bombing in self-defense. So far Iran has not taken the bait, just lots of bluster which may be a cultural thing that the Bush Administration, not being interested in knowing anything about other cultures, is unable to correctly interpret. Basically this country is being run by truly insane people, with a spineless Congress that sits there wringing its hands and making silly non-binding resolutions in the face of possible pre-emptive nuclear attack on another nation. Sorry to burst your bubble.

properly the U. S. tried international family members with Iraq in the process the Eighteen Nineties, or perhaps President Clinton used militia action against Saddam via movements of Saddam in terms of weapons inspectors and non-cooperation. greater you declare that Iraq had no WMD's. as a effect you the two don't comprehend what WMD's are or are ignoring the previous use of them via Saddam's Iraq.
