If your career could benefit then they will usually work with you. In some cases they might even help you with tuition reimbursement. Now if your classes are for something that is unrelated to your current field; more than likely your employer will not be as cooperative.

Most employers will encourage school. Some will not. It may be that you can go to work a little early to complete your shift. Talk to trusted co-employees and you should find out how your employer react to this type of situation. A full-time job and school is a hard task but is done by people everyday. You may have to find another job that will work better with you. A part time job is an option or even a part time position at your current workplace. You will have to decide what is right for you. I had to work 40 hrs a week and take 16hrs course work, but my employee worked with me on this. An education is an important part of todays workforce.

Definitely! Any company that values it's employees would be more than happy to work with your schedule. In fact, they should encourage them to persue their studies. I lost my job last year and am a mother of a 1 yr old. I know how hard it is. If you really want to go to school- do it now! I really hope your employer will understand and be on your side. Persuing a degree, especially in the field you currently work in would definitely be a plus for you and the company. Good Luck!
