The Yankees overpaid by a ton in giving Pettitte a $16 million contract.
The Astros, while losing a good pitcher, were right not to try and compete with a price as ridiculous as that. They did well to get Jason Jennings and hopefully can get something out of Woody Williams. They remain a long shot for Clemens, but are still one of the three teams that he is considering.

Like the others have said, Andy did go back to the Yankees. It was pretty clear in the off-season the Bombers were in need of starting pitching. Andy got a nice contract, I'm not sure he can help much unless Cashman was using Andy to lure Roger Clemens back.

He's back with his old team. The New York Yankees inked him for 1 year ($16million with an option for the same amount). His signing might lead to the Yanks also getting his good pal, Roger Clemens.

He in basic terms hassle-free have been given out-pitched via potential of Lester. the 1st inning he have been given on the decrease back of two-0 on Mr. Jeter's errors (spectacular throw, via potential of strategies) and ended up throwing 20-25 pitches to initiate the pastime. The Yanks would desire to now no longer get some thing going on offense. Sox in basic terms outplayed them.
