Poland does indeed exist. Its borders are different from before WWII. The western border of Poland was moved westward at the orders of the Soviet government in 1945. The wdestern border is now the Oder River. Meanwhile, the Soviet union took over what had been Poland in Lvov in the East. With the dismantling of theSoviet empire, every one has decided to leave present borders of Poland and Russia unchanged. Poles after the war talked of "the new lands." Germans of the "lost provinces."

There are these things called MAPS which are basically a pictorial representation of the world. Sometimes they are presented in the round (a GLOBE) so that they look more world like. You should track one down. I'm sure you would find it fascinating to view one and find what all countries exist. There are also these things called libraries, found in most cities, where you can find maps, map books, encyclopedies, globes and all sorts of interesting things to improve your mind. It definitely needs it by the way.

yes, poland still exists. wwii was during the early 1940s, I'm sure you can go to wikipedia to learn more about it. :)
don't worry, i've never been really good in history and geography, too. I'm an encyclopedia- and globe-dependent :)

If you were dumb enough to look at a map, maybe you would know that Poland still exists. I do know about WW2. I don't know anyone who doesn't and I hope I never do know anyone who doesn't. :p
