How can you TELL if a person is psychic?

I'm not psychic, but I want to know how to tell if others are. ~1-2% of people are constantly USING psychic ability (though most keep it secret). How can I tell if I'm being mind-controlled (those things HAPPEN). As for you, refrain from using that ability. It is evil.

The ones making claims are frauds; there are many GENUINE ones, not making claims.

We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

I would try being more skeptical about the whole idea. In my opinion psychics do not exist. People are VERY good at manipulating others into thinking that they have psychic powers.

When I was in High school AP Psychology we watched a video where a high school class was chosen to participate in an experiment. A so called psychic went and asked for the horoscopes of each student, then told the class that she would write a personalized horoscope for each of them. The next day when she came back with the personalized horoscopes, she handed them out and told the students to read it to themselves. Each student claimed what the psychic/astrologer said was VERY accurate. The astrologer/psychic then revealed to the class that she was not a psychic and that every student received the exact same horoscope.

Psychics use these same techniques to trick people. Their readings are often vague and they say things that are true of everybody.

You cannot be mind controlled, I did not think that's what psychics did anyways, I thought they are only able to see the future.

Now...Jedi Knights use mind control, and everybody knows that "the force" is real. That's what I would be watching out for if I were you.

Its not evil. It is just an ability that one has. Our mind possess an energy that, if trained, could be very powerful. It is like a radio or walkie talkie where the frequency is the same, they could read minds or manipulate some other things. We cannot defend ourselves from those attacks unless you have great mind power. This requires concentration and pure, clean energy and if a person can train until that level, they wouldn't be bad guys.

most are frauds if you recall the life of Harry Houdini who exposed every claim to his challenges. if you find the small percentage that might have a minimal ability it's not necessarilly evil but more likely ignorant. why not use your vocal chords or write a letter these are preferred methods of communication.

its really hard to say. I guess you would just have to sit and listen and know that what ever they are saying you did not give them i mean i know myself there are souls and they are not dead and i know and realize they do come and communicate i myself have seen a shadow person and i am not lying but not psychic. so i guess you just have to see and make the assessment yourself. I do belive.
