tomorrow is my first anniversary. should i expect some special gift? i got my husband pencils for drawing and a shirt. its a surprise. he is not good at surprising me. he will probably just take me to the mall and ask what i want. he is taking me out to dinner which will be around 100 dollars. should that be enough. i think my expectations are just to high.

Well I guess if he really would like pencils and a shirt.....and you both enjoy your meal....and you get what you want at the mall......gezz I don't get this one....sorry. Are you trying to say you wish he would go buy you something and surprise you? That you are tired of picking out your own gift? If so....then maybe just tell him....NICELY.....gee hun it would be great if YOU found me something this time....you know from your heart.

I think the fact that he's taking you out to dinnner is lovely - and more than enough!
It's supposed to be the thought that counts not the money spent - I'm sure he's chosen somewhere he knows you will like so enjoy your special evening with your man and thank your lucky stars he cares enough to have arranged a dinner for you - if he also takes you shopping then bonus!
Have a great evening.

they just aren't always as into it as we are.......he is the gift giving type? I would expect something special since it is your anniversary.....but pencils and a shirt aren't exactly what I'd call romantic either...
