C. Ovid, Homer, Virgil and a host of other clasical writers replayed that theme time and time again. Look at the Trojan war, The Odyssey, the Illiad, Metamorphoses,The Aeneid you'll find exactly how that passion, time and again became the downfall of great men and even entire civilizations.
