I wanna take PE (Physical educ) this summer because I dont wanna take it in my senior year as a regular class. But I also made plans for traveling for a few days in the summer, so I dont know how long will it take me summer school (a month, two months), if it's two months I'm screwed.
I've tried to inquire at school, but it's a disaster, my counselor is never there, etc, and all my friends say different things.
Please tell me about your experience, or what you know about summer school.
Thanks

Depends on the course and the school. I took a Summer School course that lasted two weeks. I have friends who took courses that went well into July. I have a friend who lives in Napa that took Summer School all the way through August (ew).
Usually Summer School lasts six weeks and they allow to miss about three days during those six weeks. But like I said, it all depends.

I've had a few "long distance" relationships, but we're talking different cities here, not different states. In your case, try and look at it as an hiatus in your relationship. You both care about each other, but you are both now entering a time when you will apart and perhaps may want to "discover yourselves" if you know what I mean. There's nothing wrong with that, it's perfectly natural. I think even if you didn't say that to your boyfriend, the two of you would probably do it anyway because you are so far apart. It's inevitable. Just remember that college is temporary, and that when you are in careers a few years down the line, three years at college will not seem like a long time. If you two guys can maintain some semblance of a relationship during that time, and yet experience relationships with others, you may very well find that after three years you really do want to be with each other on a more permanent basis.

In my area it's six weeks, beginning early July ; and the final exams are around the second week in August. The classes are 2 long, sweaty hours without a break ,Mon.-Thurs. Ten minutes between classes if you're taking a second class. Attendance is strict and misbehavior is not tolerated (like it is during the regular school year).
For the most part, Summer school is usually for make-up only, not to excellerate. There might be exceptions to this, like Driver Ed.
Track down your counselor, and ask.

I can remember it lasting at least 8 weeks, but any absence has more of an impact since the classes are condensed, so that is something to think about. Also, you might be unbearably hot if its an outside PE course during the summer. Good Luck.

I would assume it would take all summer, hence the name "summer school." If it was only half of summer, it may be called "half of summer school."
