I think making health care available for anybody who needs it is something that we absolutely HAVE to do; there is no reason that anybody in the U.S. should be without health care when they're ill. We also need some serious focus on the environment, global warming, and related issues.

I don't KNOW that anybody will have a good plan, but I think it has to be better than the one currently in force, which (as far as I can tell) is no plan at all. The way I'll know is when people don't have to worry about whether or not they can afford a visit to a doctor or their prescription medications, among other things.

I want the next president to take a strong stand on immigration law and enforce the extisting laws. I want a president who will not give amnesty or disguise it as a guest worker program. I want a president who has a very strong background in international affairs and world politics. I want a president who will support and defend our existing constitution against all enemies, foreign and especially domestic. I want a president who served in the military honorably with no question as to service record who will support our troops when he/she sends them into conflict. I want a president who will be a voice for choice; ie if you choose to abort a child you get to choose to pay for that abortion, not the taxpayers. I want a president who is strongly for the death penalty for rapists, murderers and child molesters.

But what I really want right now is for congress to quit wasting taxpayer dollars on resolutions that don't amount to a hill of beans and for them to do some real work to improve our country.

I know I'm a dreamer, but that is what I want.

Condi, are you sure you won't run for president?

jobs are good right now and 60% of employers have healthcare plans i think they should other than winning the war start focusing on tax problems such as why the hell can no one do thier own taxes? but they are spending more money to enforce people not paying the correct amount?

i think it would be great to change around some of the enforcment policy on some laws such as why do we have police officers spending weeks on seatbelt stings instead of working on all the theft cases in the same area? why bust little pot smoking kids instead of people selling meth? why worry so much about Minors drinking alcohol instead of the people killing each other?

and why the hell is a seatbelt ticket 84 bucks now?

i think they need to overhaul the law enforcement completely

I want them to help the MIDDLE CLASS for a change, they've helped the rich and give tons of money (programs) to the poor, at the expense of the MIDDLE CLASS, the MIDDLE CLASS pay the taxes, that support the rich and poor and the government has all but tried to destroy the MIDDLE CLASS for the last 30 years, we need real health care reform( not the kind of get me elected reform that Hillary's talking about, she and Bill used that same health care reform platform in Bill's first election and she's had since 1992 to do something about and she's done nothing), we need tax breaks, we need programs that will help the MIDDLE CLASS when we get in a tight spot,we need to repeal the NAFTA deal, that has cost this country over 4 million factory jobs since Clinton signed it in 1994 and we continue losing 200,000 per year
we need better retirement programs, we need affordable college tuition for our children, and finnally we need better paying job market

the next prez must find a way to reduce the cost of a college education. a college education should be available to all americans. grants, scholarships, work study programs, and student loans should be automatically awarded to all high school students regardless of thier success in high school. our people are among the most scientifically ignorant people in the world, including developing countries. if this gap isn't remedied, america will soon lose it's edge and spiral into laughing stock status. in fact, it may already be too late. ask the person next to you what pi is.

The new president should move swiftly to clean up the messes the current one did internationally.

He should manage the national debt and people's well being...

National Debt
School reform
Health care

As far as knowing if a plan will be good or not, it's a leap of faith. Politicians tend to metamorph once they get into office.

A good health care plan. Considering the current dork has no plan that doesn't make more money for the health insurers, anything is an improvement.

I'd actually be very happy if they didn't do anything except cut all US taxes by 50% for everyone and make govt. as small as it can possibly get.
