Go to the grocery store, buy two nice steaks, a frozen side dish or two, a bottle of wine and a dessert. Invite her over to your house for dinner instead. Straighten up your apartment or house and clean the bathroom. Valentines night is one of the busiest nights in the restaurant business. Anywhere you go will be crowded and the service will not be good, even an expensive place. Go out to dinner next Monday or Tuesday night.

Something romantic....NOT a chain restaurant, a place with tablecloths and candlelight, a nice atmosphere. If you can avoid it, do not go out on Valentines Day for dinner...it's usually very crowded and not a good experience. Tell her you made special plans for the weekend, she'll love it.

Dont go to a restaurant. If your date is 10 years older than you they arent with you for your taste in eating establishments. Just stay home and do what you usually do. Its more fun and if they get upset about it and dump you, you can trade them in for a younger one.
