Dorothy Day, Phillip and Daniel Berrigan, Caeser Chavez, the student in the former Yugoslavia who took down Milosevic, Oscar Romero, Kathy Kelly, The Christian Peacemaker Teams, Witness for Peace teams in Central America, etc, etc. Check out these books: A Force More Powerful by Ackerman and Duvall, Peace is the Way by Walter Wink, or To Construct Peace by Michael True. There is a long rich history of nonviolent activism, most of which is not mentioned in any textbooks. The powers and principalities don't want people to know just how potent active nonviolence can be.

Beating down tyrants & criminals is not really being
violent,it's more like getting rid of evil & scum,like in
God's case & our Lord Jesus Christ!
The libbercrates use the word activists in such a crude
& nasty way!!! They have selfish desires & this is why
they get themselves in so much trouble. More than one
libberRat has had their A$$ in a sling!!! Do the History

How about Rosa Parks? All she did was sit, and she helped create a major change. Every person who protests peacefully, writes letters to their representatives, works in a political campaign, or votes can be considered a non-violent activist.
