Assuming you read the book: When Jonathan Harker visits Dracula in Transylvania with a view to renting him Carfax Abbey in England, Dracula expands at dinner (he eats nothing) about how his "ancestors" battled again and again against the Turks and other enemies in the 15th Century. Maybe read up on vampirism and describe how Dracula became one of the undead. Was it that he was evil himself? Was it that he was overcome hundreds of years before by someone or something more evil than himself? What is the nature of evil? What is the origin of evil? Is evil innate in certain persons or things?

Be creative. Have you read the book?
One thing that might help at least with the format of your story is to tell it like the book was narrated through letters and journal entries.
You could write about something from the time before Mina and Jonathon got invoved. About some travelers who got lost and found his castle. Or about his mortal life as Vlad the Impaler.
Just a thought.

Child-friendly, huh? Yotsuba is good for all ages, though I'm not sure he'd have interest in it. Hikaru no Go would be a great choice! Some action (except it's all about playing Go) Yakitate Japan is another title that has very little objectionable content, but has the intensity that might interest him +Anima is also a great title, with special powers and lots of adventure

Why not have him conversing with god and the devil about his plight while he is dying .He could be given chances to save himself from going to hell but he does not believe god after all that he has gone through. When he realizes that he has a chance for salvation, he repents, but it is too late and then he is sent back as
a vampire, bitter and alone. It would kind of be like a Faust story.
