I'm a single mother with one child. I am currently living with my exboyfriend. Our relationship has been over for some time now. It's an ackward situation, I shouldn't be here. I am employed, but rent in the Los Angeles area is out of control. Serious answers only please.

Hmm...you could always post a add in the local newspaper. That is how alot of people get roommates. If you don't want to do that, then you can email all your friends that live in LA and tell them that you are looking for a roommate. Tell your friends to email other people and tell them. You can post your own want ad, or check the roomate ads on www.losangeles.craigslist.org.
You could post that you're looking for an established kid-friendly roommate situation, or you could also put a posting to look for a roomate that would be willing to find a new place together...

You know what, I live in Canada and we have this thing called news papers that take classifieds, or we can even go to the supermarket and place ads on a board that may work for you.
